Legends and sagas
The sagas bring light to the darkness of the past even though their interpretation is difficult and controversial. Until people began to write them down the sagas were handed down by story telling. In the evening, in the "stues" (the living room of traditional farm houses) you can still hear old people tell the "cunties".
