Archeological investigations: Surface collection of numerous stone tools from flint and quartz crystal (1984/1994), several years of excavation (2009-2014).
Short description: The 2046 m high Stallersattel has also been used as a crossing point since the Stone Age. Besides the Gsieser Törl, the Stallersattel is probably the most important Stone Age site on the border between East and South Tyrol. Several artefacts made of flint and rock crystal prove the early use of the area. Chronologically, the site can be assigned to the Mesolithic period.
