Short description: The hill called "Burg" near Obermauern in the Virgen Valley, which is about 1 ha in size, may have been visited as early as the Neolithic period. This is indicated by several flint flakes that were found in the area of the hilltop. However, the settlement only gained greater importance from the Bronze Age onwards.
